Carol F. Hollinshead died in her home December 18,2017 after a courageous and hard fought
battle with cancer.
She was born September 12, 1954 to the late William P. Barnhart and Mildred "Millie" R.
Barnhart. She was a devoted mother, faithful wife, loving grandmother, and a loyal and honest
friend to many.
She had been a nurse in the long-term care unit of the Fulton Center MedicalCenter for thirtyfive
years until her retirement in June. As a nurse, she loved and cared for her patients with the
greatest respect and dignity a nurse could provide for them. As a mother and wife, she
dedicated her life to modeling the hard work, love, and faithfulness of Christ. She lived a
servants life for others with happiness and contentment always thinking of others before her
own self.
She enjoyed the simple things in life - spending time relaxing and fishing in Chincoteague,
Virginia, taking walks with her husband, and spending time with her family, especially her
grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Allen L., her son, JeremyA (husband of Natalie), her daughter,
Tracy N. (companion of S. Taft Hawken), and her four grandchildren, lsna, Tatiana, Jabin, and
Rowan.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral service  will be Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA with Pastor David Hamilton officiating.
Interment at Sideling Hill Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
