Michael G. Swope, 50, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 in Needmore, PA.
Michael was born in McConnellsburg, PA on April 22, 1962, the son of M. Cloyd and Ruth Evelyn (Keebaugh) Swope of Harrisonville, PA.. He was the husband of Paula Lynn (Soules) Swope whom he married on December 4, 1987.
Mr. Swope served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Great Cove Golf Course, McConnellsburg, PA and was a truck driver for Mellott Wood Preserving in Needmore, PA. He enjoyed golfing, Nascar, hunting, spending time with his family and especially his grandson.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he is survived by Daughter Brandy J. (wife of Wesley) Locke of Shade Gap, PA, Brothers M. Cloyd Swope, Jr. of Harrisonville, PA, Walter Swope of Harrisonville, PA, Greg Swope of McConnellsburg, PA, Andy Swope of Warfordsburg, PA, Sister Debbie DeShong of Harrisonville, PA and Grandson Brody Michael Locke of Shade Gap, PA.
Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 with Pastor William Swope and Pastor Dan Porterfield officiating.
Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
There will be visitation on Friday, May 18th, 2012 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.
